Welcome to 3 Walker Contemporary—a new gallery in the heart of Kittery Foreside and an extension of the WINTER HOLBEN architecture + design practice.
Housed within our new landmark building—3 Walker Contemporary is dedicated to contemporary art and design that complements, and converses with, our firm’s work. Founded by Elisa Winter Holben, the gallery presents thoughtfully curated exhibitions, installations, and events that invite exploration, conversation, and community. Our program highlights two- and three-dimensional design—from works on paper to sculpture—alongside product design and finely crafted objects, with an emphasis on materiality, craft, and a strong sense of place. Welcoming and approachable, 3 Walker Contemporary supports artists and designers and offers clients and visitors an inspiring lens into placemaking and the ideas that shape our projects.

Elisa Winter Holben
As the Owner and Curator of 3 Walker Contemporary, Elisa brings a multidisciplinary design perspective to the gallery she created to celebrate art and design in the heart of Kittery Foreside. Also a Principal of WINTER HOLBEN architecture + design, she draws on her background in architecture, interiors, and graphic design to shape the gallery’s vision and curatorial approach. Elisa believes that art plays a vital role in making environments meaningful and memorable—enhancing the way people experience and connect with place. Through 3 Walker Contemporary, she aims to foster collaboration, inspire creativity, and highlight the powerful intersections between art, design, and community.
