Tom Glover

Early on Tom was encouraged to go see the Masters “in the flesh” by his mentor John Laurent. Not only did Laurent tell him to stick his nose in the paintings of the Masters, he also encouraged him to experiment with abstract painting and to look at the Abstract Expressionist painters. Glover went to New York to see the Abstract Expressionists “in the flesh”and begin to explore the New York scene. Eventually he realized that his heart was in the seacoast area, so that is where he has lived and worked for nearly forty years.

Paula Borsetti

Paula Borsetti is a New England–based colorist and expressionist painter working from her studios in Beverly and Sebago, Maine.

Known for her bold, colorful abstractions, she creates highly layered works that explore the natural world as a reflection of internal searching. Rooted in intuition and experimentation, her process reveals stories woven through color, texture, and gesture—inviting reflection and emotional connection. Borsetti’s work embodies both energy and depth, capturing the tension between chaos and calm.

Her years spent as an educator fostered a sense of life long learning and she continues to share her knowledge through workshops and mentoring. Her paintings are exhibited widely and are held in private collections throughout the U.S and internationally.

Her work is represented at Alpers Gallery, Rockport, Gallery Tag and Galaray House in Boston, The Salted Cod Arthouse in Gloucester and at 3 Walker Contemporary, Kittery, ME.

Rose Umerlik

My paintings may appear abstract and minimal in color, but each layer, line, and form is shaped through years of exploring personal history, emotion, and what it means to be human.

Through an ongoing process of decisions and revisions, forms emerge and shift—held together by love, play, courage, fear, insecurity, and connection. Sometimes they embrace, sometimes they separate, and sometimes they exist in uncertainty. Each painting becomes its own moment, relationship, or emotional landscape.

By creating and sharing this work, I hope to honor the complexity and beauty of our emotional lives and our shared humanity. I hope these paintings resonate with you in whatever way feels meaningful.
